yes, I used the rear jack point. You’re correct, the pic posted (which is also found in the PDI instructions) is for an FL5. I had to use a small wood block to clear the diffuser, the cutout is kind of small; if you’re looking directly at exhaust from the rear, it’s to the left of the exhaust tips, looks like a square metal block protruding down. Worked well, bled brakes and changed wheels

where are you putting your stands when you jack from that location?

i just went to put on my cold weather tires and found out that when you jack from that location, the pinch welds don't get lifted nearly enough to get a stand under them even with them all the way down- like several inches away from clearing. i didn't even bother trying the front lift point.

i have no idea what im supposed to do now. i was looking at getting a quickjack, but decided to put it off for now because they're so fucking expensive, but this is making me reconsider.

where are you putting your stands when you jack from that location?

i just went to put on my cold weather tires and found out that when you jack from that location, the pinch welds don't get lifted nearly enough to get a stand under them even with them all the way down- like several inches away from clearing. i didn't even bother trying the front lift point.

i have no idea what im supposed to do now. i was looking at getting a quickjack, but decided to put it off for now because they're so fucking expensive, but this is making me reconsider.
In that particular instance in that photo, I actually didn’t use jack stands 🤫

interesting that there wasn’t enough clearance to place jack stands, I’ll have to check to see if that’s also the case with my floor jack. Will let you know

You should place the four jack stands at the four dedicated support locations (four corners where the pinchwelds are)

1. Using two jacks, jack from the center point and rear jack point to raise the car up. Place four jack stands in place. Then lower jacks so the car will be seated on the four jack stands.

2. If only one jack, jack from the center jacking point, place two jack stands. Lower the front of the car onto two jack stands. Then jack the rear jacking point and place the remaining to jack stands. Lower jacks onto jackstands.

You will need low-profile deep jacks to reach the center point location or have small ramps to get the car high enough to slide your jack underneath

only 1 jack, and yeah it's not long enough to raise the car high enough

Get some lumber and build DIY ramps, ($20 and takes 30 mins).

You'll need some beefy long jacks $99-$300. The small jacks dont work well for these vehicles. Thats the cheaper option than buying the quickjacks which costs substantially more

I use my floor jack and jack from either of the side jackstand locations. if it's on the front one, I can jack it high enough to place the rear jack stand, and vice versa. Haven't had any isses with this. I know this isn't recommended, but I've done that with every car I ever owned. If you can't jack from this point, then how would you put a spare tire on when you're out in the wild. Your likely not going to have your ramps or your extended floor jack or whatever. Am I crazy?

Not at all. If all you're doing is removing one tire and not going under the car, you can jack at the corner point and skip the stand. What you can't easily do is put the car on stands from that point because the jack is occupying that spot where the stand must go. Lifting from anywhere between the designated corner points is sketchy and you risk damaging the unibody.

Putting the rear on stands you're better off using a full-size floor jack, lifting to the max, and then you can probably get small stands under there at one or two clicks of height. I've done it on my non-s which has a similarly high rear jack point as yours. I changed my rear sway bar like this, exhaust hanging down, my face mere inches from the subframe. It sucked and I should've tried a block of wood on the jack to get it up higher and give myself more space.

(Canuck Bucks so don't be too shocked by the price)

It won't help for the front because you still have to sink the entire jack under the car just to get to the lift point. Now I drive the front wheels onto a couple inches worth of wood scraps to help get the jack started.

It's a Honda thing. Probably to make you give up and go to the dealer.

@SlippyFist I did some testing, here are results:

Equipment list:
-Pittsburgh low-profile 1.5 ton aluminum floor jack + rubber pad on lifting surface
-Pittsburgh 3 ton aluminum jack stands + rubber pad on jack point surface
-Megan Racing 2-piece low profile ramps
-6 pieces of 2”x8”x12” wood

Lifting at rear jack point with my floor jack maxed out will not allow jack stands to fit under rear pinch weld locations. So I used my wood pieces to create a raised platform for the floor jack to be on, increasing ground clearance. My jack stands are still a little too tall, so I’m going to buy some low-profile jack stands for rear-lifting duty.

No issues with front jack point; drive on ramps, place jack and lift, easily clears for my current jack stands

Probably to only replace the tire...so I would say yes.

When I replaced my tires for winter, I used the corner jack points with only a jack (but not a scissor jack because it takes too long to crank it).

My jack won’t reach unless I get the car on ramps first. But they’re adequate for oil changing on multiple cars. However if you want a jack that reaches without any ramps you’ll need these: for $800

So sorry if I’m misunderstanding but is there a reason why we can’t use the corner jacking locations? The regular integra can but the type s can’t? Find it sort of weird because all of my past cars I used the corner to jack up for changing wheels.
